Carrollton Bank Can Help
Unfortunately, there is no way to fully prevent your business from being a target of fraud, but there are a few steps you can take to make it less likely for your business to experience any losses as a result.
Carrollton Bank offers a fraud detection service called Positive Pay that can help reduce your business’s risk of loss from payment fraud. Positive Pay creates steps to ensure that no checks presented will be paid without first being validated by you or your designated employee.
How Does Positive Pay Work?
Account holders use our online banking system to input/upload information about the checks they have issued. The system then matches key details, such as payee, check number, issue date, and amount, to the information provided by the account holder. Any suspicious checks will be provided online for verification/approval, allowing fraudulent checks to be returned
within the timeframe necessary to recover the funds.
ACH Positive Pay
This is a fraud risk reduction step you can take for electronic payments. ACH Positive Pay relies on a series of filters, such as a list of approved vendors, to automatically post ACH debits.
